Accountability Circles are rooted in Sista Circle Methodology. This methodology is rooted in the historical and cultural significance of Sista Circles, which have long been a source of solidarity and empowerment for Black women. Its designed to create a supportive and empowering space specifically for Black women.

 

    Its purpose includes:

1. Providing Safe Spaces: Offering a safe and affirming environment where Black women can share their experiences, challenges, and triumphs without fear of judgment.

2. Encouraging Reflection and Growth: Facilitating reflective and intellectually stimulating discussions that promote personal and professional growth.

3. Building Community: Strengthening bonds among Black women by fostering a sense of community and mutual support.

4. Addressing Power Dynamics: Aiming to recognize and minimize power imbalances within the group to ensure all voices are heard and valued.

5. Promoting Well-being: Supporting the overall well-being of participants by addressing issues that impact their lives and providing encouragement and knowledge.
